The Prince Rupert City and Regional Archives acquires donations of archival materials that fit our mandate and meaningfully contribute to documenting the history and culture of Prince Rupert and the surrounding North Coast region. We prioritize materials with evidential or intrinsic value, and we may decline items that would be better cared for by another institution. Together, the materials we accept help preserve and share the community's story.
To discuss a potential donation of records or objects, please contact Archivist Brandon Carkner at princerupertarchives@gmail.com or +1 (250) 624-3326. Please note that donation requests and offers require processing time, and walk-ins cannot be guaranteed without prior arrangement.
Unsolicited donations mailed to or left at the Archives without prior approval will be returned to the donor, or disposed of appropriately if no return contact information is provided.
The Prince Rupert City & Regional Archives Society is a not-for-profit organization supported by individuals, community organizations, government, and granting agencies to help preserve, exhibit, and share the cultural heritage of the region. The Archives is a registered charity, and any contribution of $20.00 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt. Thank you for your support!
